  Overview

Time management skills are fundamental to success. This training presentation will help you gain control over your time so that you can work more efficiently and productively. At the end of the training session, you will be able to identify and eliminate your time wasters; plan and prioritize effectively; define goals and make time-wise decisions; capitalize on prime and commuting time; avoid procrastination; and handle communications, interruptions, and emergencies effectively.

Understanding, identifying and defining your long-term goals is the very first step for an effective time management. With the broader goal at the background, you can now set your short-term goals that may effectively lead you to achieving your long cherished long-term goals in your life.

This time management training program teaches attendees how to develop an action plan, focus on the important issues, prioritize tasks and maintain the discipline needed to complete them.

The program provides techniques for identifying key time wasters, setting boundaries, handling interruptions and maximizing productivity.

Participants will learn how to incorporate these techniques into their daily activities by setting goals, writing out objectives and developing a daily action plan that promotes focus, discipline and creativity. This experience is reflected in his sound judgement, project management, and analysis skills. He is one of the early recipients of certified business analysis professional (CBAP) designation in Alberta, and also a proud facilitator of the Edmonton's chapter's CBAP study group sessions at the University of Alberta downtown campus. He is working as a Project Manager with MacEwan University where he gained valuable experience as he helped implement ERP System (PeopleSoft) with IBM as implementation partner. Prior to that, he provided his consultancy services to Alberta Energy Board in Calgary for major strategic initiative of the organization. Depth and breadth of this experience made him capable of adding value to any role that he undertakes. He thrives under pressure while keeping a positive 'can do' attitude. He holds Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and is ITIL v3.0 Foundation Certified. He is proud on his recent designation of Risk Management Professional by PMI. Dr. Bill Warner

Bill WarnerDr. Bill Warner, Project Management Professional, has over 30 years' experience as an international project management consultant and trainer. During this time, he has led successful projects in e-business/e-commerce, television, health care, financial institutions, and information technology. His specialties include business analysis, quality management, project management, change management, and management information systems. As a professor, he has taught MBA and MSPM courses in the U.S., Canada, Greece, and China over the past 13 years. He earned a Ph.D. and two masters degrees. Bill has served the Project Management Institute as Region 1 Mentor, President of the Canadian West Coast Chapter, Vice-President of the Minnesota Chapter, and Vice-President of the Bellingham Chapter. As an American Society for Quality certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence, he has conducted a variety of workshops in North America.
